Where can I change channels?

If your store is internet connected, you are able to change the channel via cs.business.stingray.com from your mobile phone, tablet or your computer. If your store is not connected to the internet, please contact our support department.

Where can I find the volume button?

There is no volume button on your SB3 media player. The volume is adjusted by your store’s regular sound system, either via a volume control or directly on the amplifier connected to the SB3.

Stingray Business has helped curate music that fits within Frédéric’s brand vision. Music is an integral part of his personal life, it was important to create a cohesive environment for his store – that doesn’t distract from the products. It needs to be almost muted, neutral and authentic. We chose a lot of classical music, jazz, and local passionate artists such as Patrick Watson and Coeur de Pirate. It was instrumental in making sure there was a smooth transition between each song to create a harmonious environment. Our musical curators were able to create the perfect sound environment for the firm.

The Challenge

As Montreal’s most elegant address, the Ritz-Carlton was seeking a music provider whose selection of music would fit in with their mission, which according to the Ritz is to “provide a soothing atmosphere so clients can fully relax.” Given the central role that music plays in creating the right atmosphere, the Ritz-Carlton had to carefully pick a provider who would tend to their every need, and who would curate a selection of music that reflects their brand essence.

The Solution

According to the Ritz, they rely heavily on music to set the stage for relaxation. No matter where you are in the hotel, whether you are in the famous Maison Boulud Restaurant, getting pampered at the spa, or simply relaxing in your guest room, the music must enhance the atmosphere. As the official music provider for the hotel, we have mastered the art of setting a mood through our handpicked music selection that plays 24/7 throughout the hotel. No matter where you are in the hotel, you will be serenaded by the sound of Stingray Business. You might even hear the Ritz’s very own song “Putting on The Ritz”, as you walk down the hallways.

Music for Brand-Building

The BESTSELLER team had a clear vision of the in-store experience they wanted to provide: an authentic Scandinavian feel that would set it apart from its competitors. To support the brand-building effort, Stingray Business selected music true to BESTSELLER'S brand identity, using design plans of the new stores as inspiration. The client’s understanding of the crucial role music would play in the branding strategy combined with constant, open communication expedited the process to less than two months.

In addition to custom music, Stingray Business was also mandated to provide all AV systems (Stingray Business is an official BOSE reseller) and install them in a manner that respects the elegant, streamlined design of the stores and the raw materials used in the construction.

 

An Ear for Fashion

During BESTSELLER HOMME/FEMME four store openings last September, guests discovered a new line of European fashion along with music perfectly adapted to the shopping experience.

The BESTSELLER HOMME/FEMME channel can broadcast a full day of music without repetition and is refreshed each month with 10% of new content. Following the first few weeks of operations, at the client’s request, the music selection was again adapted to provide even more high-energy beats during peak, high-traffic periods. Just like it does at home, choosing the right music for a commercial environment goes a long way to set the mood!

Frank + Oak has become one of the most famous online shops originating from Montreal. In recent years, we have witnessed this label’s brick and mortar flagship stores open all across Canada. Why open retail stores when you already have a successful business recipe on the web? For Ethan Song, founder and CEO, the stores are a way to translate Frank + Oak’s brand identity into an experience for their customer base. One can go hang out at the concept store to enjoy a third wave coffee from Café Neve or freshen up their look with a cut from the in-store barber, all while being surrounded by Frank + Oak products. Always ahead of the curve, the Montreal brand has executed the omnichannel retail experience to perfection.

In an effort to drive traffic in stores and reinforce the brand’s in-store customer experience, Stingray Business was called in to help Frank + Oak transition from their traditional static window displays to a solution with dynamic digital content that showcases various looks and items from their collection. The new storefront design incorporated 75” Samsung TVs with an embedded content player that simplified the tedious task of monitoring storefront merchandising from head office. Management could now monitor and manage their content for all their stores across Canada from one centralized location. In close collaboration with the client, Stingray Business also helped create content for the new screens and was challenged to adapt the images according to different technical specifications that varied from one store to another. So far, these displays have successfully increased foot traffic into the stores and have been receiving rave reviews!

The brand-new TELUS Sound Table offers a unique buying experience to its customers by letting them interact with a stunning and user-friendly interface. Clients can control all speakers available in store at the TELUS Sound Table by using the custom app created by Stingray Business. 

Bluetooth speakers come in a large variety and with many different features, shoppers often find themselves at a loss when presented with so many options. Our Sound Table makes the decision process easier by giving customers more power and taking away that shopping anxiety.

Users can now compare sound quality between different models and to choose the speaker that fits their needs while enjoying a fun in-store music experience!
