The challenge 

 

Stingray teamed up with the brand to reproduce a unique and ultra-realistic backdrop that depicts these real-life conditions to maximize consumer engagement and influence in-store sales.  

 

The solution 

 

Stingray developed custom content and installed interactive digital signage at the Moose Knuckles flagship store in Toronto’s Eaton Centre, tailored to the brand’s vision and objectives: a stunning 270* curved LED screen with RFID sensors that changes backgrounds based on the style of jacket a shopper tries on.

Along with the dynamic display, the RFID tag also triggers high-definition sound effects to bring Canadian winters to life inside the store, allowing customers to immerse themselves in the brand experience like never before.

This one-of-a-kind partnership enabled Moose Knuckles to position themselves as the most innovative, practical, and style-conscious choice for their customers, setting them apart from the competition. Shoppers got a memorable in-store experience, and Moose Knuckles reaffirmed themselves as the brand to own for Canadian winters.

The challenge

 

To place their products and services at the heart of the customer experience, Shaw set out to open 12 immersive “concept” stores in high-traffic malls across Alberta and BC. Instead of a static kiosk or retail shop, the brand redesigned their in-store experience to encourage exploration, learning, and interaction among visitors.

In setting this ambitious goal, Shaw was faced with an important question: how does a brand create a truly engaging shopping experience that goes beyond traditional retail?

 

The solution

 

The answer was vibrant digital signage, and Stingray was the provider and integrator for each of Shaw’s new concept stores. Our in-house creative team went above and beyond to present concepts and content that were out of the ordinary, from touch screens integrated into surfaces to massive full-wall takeovers.

One key element of Shaw’s in-store visual strategy is synchronization. Each screen feels like a “puzzle piece” that is part of a larger communications tapestry: together, they deliver a cohesive message, surrounding customers with stunning visuals that educate and engage. There is no shortage of information that banks need to share with their consumers, from limited-time promotions to investment service offerings. To facilitate informed decision-making among branch visitors, these messages need to be delivered clearly, effectively, and in an engaging manner.

In perpetual competition with the convenience of online banking, BMO also wanted to refresh its brand experience with eye-catching lifestyle imagery that counteracts the sterility of traditional in-branch banking.

The challenge

 

When it comes to keeping shoppers informed, Jean Coutu has a tall order to fill. During COVID-19, pharmacies were a beacon of knowledge for customers who needed health information and services. And on any given day, there are countless sales, product promotions, and Air Miles bonuses happening in-store.

The biggest challenge? These messages are constantly changing. Sale items are updated every week (if not more frequently), and health ordinances can change on a dime. Jean Coutu needed a solution for communicating large volumes of information in a simple, agile, and effective way.

 

The solution

 

Stingray approached Jean Coutu’s needs from two different angles to address both halves of their offering.

In front-facing windows adjacent to the entrance, we proposed a 24” x 48” LED screen to showcase in-store sales. This solution serves to educate incoming shoppers while attracting passersby who might want to take advantage of a promotion.

We also proposed a vertical screen for the Lab section, keeping customers engaged while waiting for their prescription. This display delivers key health tips and information in a clear, non-intrusive format.

Some locations use both of these solutions in tandem, while others have implemented just one. No matter the configuration, Stingray is able to remotely update each screen’s content instantly, eliminating the need for costly printed banners. Every display features dynamic content that includes video alongside static imagery, giving Jean Coutu total flexibility with their creative assets.
