Great food is an indulgence that ignites all of the senses. Here’s how Metro, a leading cross-Canada grocery chain, leveraged the power of enticing visuals to drum up interest in their ready-to-eat, deli, and bakery items.

The challenge 

 

How do you bring food to life and inspire the imagination? Looking at a variety of foods inside a display case is one thing, but sharing dynamic visual content centered around the love of gastronomy is much more impactful. In order to draw attention to their behind-the-counter offerings, Metro needed a solution that would truly “wow” their shoppers. 

 

The solution 

 

Stingray crafted a digital signage strategy that puts convenience front and centre. We installed large, vibrant screens behind the counters at select Metro locations to effectively showcase the various products on offer.  

The rollout included menu screens that provide details about ready-to-eat items like pizza, sushi, and hot meals. Behind the bakery counter, customers can find screens that showcase a selection of different pastries. 

At the butcher counter in the deli section, an eye-catching display cycles through a variety of available meat products, while inviting customers to seek expert advice and inquire about customized portions. 

From available varieties and pricing to promotions and guidance, our signage is helping communicate key information to two distinct customer groups: those who are browsing nearby aisles, and those who are seeking to learn more while waiting for counter service.
